My Curriculum

I LOVE teaching, and I am always recreating my lessons. After a couple years of homeschooling, I became frustrated with teaching three different history and science topics to my elementary school children each week. A friend of mine introduced me to a wonderful history curriculum, which all my children were able to use at the same time, and I immediately fell in love. I realized that my children could learn the same material at the same time. I simply needed to customize it for his/her grade level. I cherished these moments of learning and decided I wanted the same kind of atmosphere for science.

I was already writing my own lessons for the college courses I was teaching and creating classes for homeschool co-ops, so why not put my own curriculum together for other families to use? I had parents asking me for ideas and worksheets all the time. I didn't want to create just another curriculum, textbook, or workbook. With so many AMAZING resources in the library and on the web, why try to “reinvent the wheel?” Instead, I have organized ideas, thoughts, projects, and experiments in an easy to follow curriculum that allows ALL your elementary aged children to explore God’s amazing world at the same time. I encourage you to still keep textbooks and other resources on hand. You never know when a topic might intrigue a student enough that they want to learn more.

I have created two series that will can be used over and over again. You simply alternate between Series 1 and Series 2 every other year. This way, your students will go through the same topics at least 3 times before starting middle or high school, but they will gain a deeper understanding of the topic and at a more in depth level each time.
